Outline of Research at the Start

学際的国際共同研究「ペルー・アマゾンの農村生計・貧困(Peruvian Amazon Rural Livelihoods and Poverty (PARLAP))」を発展させ、世界で卓越した熱帯雨林研究拠点を目指す。熱帯雨林における最大規模の農村・家計調査を実施し、COVID-19パンデミック前のベースラインデータを構築した。本研究では、フォローアップ農村・家計調査を行い、技術・経済・社会・環境変化を捉える。これらのミクロデータと、様々な空間データを統合して、熱帯雨林の保全と開発に関する学術・政策課題について、学際的・多角的にテーマ研究を行う。国際共同研究を通じた研究者養成を図る。
