Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では韓国・アメリカの宗教研究者と協働して、日韓米における統一教会問題を政治社会学の視点から検討する。特に、教団発足と世界宣教時における各国政府との関係、保守政治家との連携による教団批判への対応、国際勝共連合などによる1960-80年代の反共戦略と教団関連団体による2000年代以降のジェンダー・バックラッシュの戦略に注目しながら、政権に食い込みを図った政治宗教としての戦略を現代の政教関係と比較社会学的視点から検討する。本研究の成果は、日韓米のアカデミズムにおいて新しい知見をもたらすだけでなく、宗務行政や外交を担う政府機関にとっても有益な提言になることが期待される。
