Outline of Research at the Start

心臓の線維化は心臓のポンプ機能を低下させて心不全と呼ばれる致死的病態を引き起こす。組織線維化はまた、他の臓器においてもその機能を低下させる原因にもなる。その主たる病態は組織に分布する線維芽細胞が過剰に活性化する事である。本研究では国際共同研究を通じて、線維芽細胞が過剰に活性化する病態を明らかにし、更にそれらを免疫応答に着目することでそれらを治療する方法の開発へと繋げる。
