Outline of Research at the Start

肺非結核性抗酸菌(NTM)症は慢性進行性呼吸器感染症で、日本における罹患率は近年増加している。気管支拡張病変は肺NTM症にみられる特徴的な病変であり、同病変において、粘液線毛クリアランスの粘液層を構成するムチン蛋白が異常集積していることを明らかにした。嚢胞性線維症はClチャネルであるCFTR遺伝子、原発性線毛機能不全症候群は線毛関連遺伝子の異常による単一遺伝子疾患であり、気管支拡張症を引き起こす。国際共同研究先であるノースカロライナ大学(UNC)と様々な原因の気管支拡張症肺を空間的トランスクリプトームなどで比較検討し、気管支拡張症の原因疾患による共通・非共通の病態を解明する。
