Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、北アフリカ精密医療コンソーシアムと共同研究を行うことで、申請者らが開発してきた長鎖シークエンサーを用いたアイソフォーム全長解析法を北アフリカのがんサンプルに適用して新たな発見を目指す。また、アイソフォーム全長解析とゲノムの突然変異の統合解析を行い発がんメカニズムの解明と精密医療への貢献を目指す。
アフリカのがんサンプルの体系的な解析はほとんど行われておらず本研究は新規性が高い。共同研究者（Hamdi教授、谷口教授）は機能解析が専門であり、本研究の発見をもとに実験を行うことで、分子メカニズムの詳細が明らかになると考えられる。
