申請者は難治性自己免疫疾患の病因T細胞と病因B細胞を明らかにするために、主に難治性のIgG4関連疾患を対象として、米国での治療前後の患者検体を用いた解析により病因形成のメカニズムを明らかにすることを目的としている。本国際共同研究では、米国での治療前後の検体を解析し、(1) CTLと相互連関する特異なB細胞群を同定、 (2) 特異なB細胞の活性化に関わる上流のエンハンサーRNAを解明する。以上より、CTLの再活性化に関わり治療標的となる特異なB細胞を同定できれば、新規分子標的薬による治療が可能なだけでなく、特異なスイッチ遺伝子を標的とした根治的な次世代のゲノム医療開発に繋がると考える。
