Outline of Final Research Achievements	Cross-cultural studies on modesty in 21 countries revealed that modesty is a shared value across cultures. The purpose of modesty was found to be oriented to manage self-image rather than self-depreciation. On the other hand, the obtained data from experimental studies indicated that the extent and style of modesty varies with culture.
