Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to promote the cross-coupling reaction of organometallic compounds with aryl halides, the aid of transition metal catalysis has been considered to be indispensable. By utilizing a single electron as a catalyst, we have developed the transition metal-free cross-coupling reactions of aryl halides with organometallic compounds such as arylmagnesium, arylzinc, alkylzinc, alkynylzinc and arylboron reagents, as well as magnesium diarylamides and benzene derivatives.
