Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In the ever changing and unpredictable knowledge-based society, defining, developing and assessing competencies are crucial terrain for designing educational reforms as national strategies for an economically competitive world. This study shows how the concept of competencies as well as the competency-based-education reform movements have evolved over time around the world and presents implications for developing national curriculum reforms to produce innovation and creativity in Japan.
