Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We launched the balloon-borne hard X-ray polarimeter, Polarized Gamma-ray Observer, from Sweden in 2013 (PoGOLite) and 2016 (PoGO+). Following the successful launches, there were several days~1 week polarization observations of a pulsar-wind nebula, Crab nebula and a black-hole binary, Cygnus X-1. For the future small polarimeter as a focal-plane detector, we developed and investigated the performance of scintillators with a photo-detector (Si-PM) readout.
