Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, we study network monitoring techniques to construct reliable wireless networks. We first consider a network tomography scheme to identify failure nodes or links in wireless multihop networks such as wireless mesh networks and wireless sensor networks, and propose an adaptive new Boolean network tomography. Simulation experiments show that the proposed network tomography scheme can identify failure nodes with a fewer measurement paths. We next consider a RF tomography scheme to estimate spatial distribution of shadowing loss, and propose compressed sensing-based RF tomography scheme. Simulation experiments show that the proposed schemes can estimate the spatial distribution efficiently.
