Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We installed two timber stress-laminated box-beam bridges ordered by Akita Prefecture in 2013 and 2015 so that the dilapidated existing bridges in heavy snowfall mountains were upgraded. Since the restrained deflection due to heavy snowfall was recognized from the fixed point camera images, we improved the fixing and setting methods of the stiffeners and confirmed the practicality of the bridges which are applicable to unforgiving environments like heavy snowfall mountains.
