Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We investigated whether serotonin transporter gene linked polymorphic region (5-HTTLPR) can predict mood state under psychological pressure in Japanese sports players (ballet dancers for example). In this study, the different pattern psychological state in Elite with future potential and Professional sports players may be resulted from confidence in their performance. They get the ability to control their emotions through everyday exercise and abundant experience on the way to become the professional players. Our data suggests that we could predict the status of mood states before the competition by examining the trait-anxiety in Elite. Long experience of sports exercises appear to decrease the individual differences caused by genotypes.
