Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The topic of my research is threefold. I have explored (Ⅰ) the status of body in the Lockean property theory, (Ⅱ) the characteristics of the crime and criminals as well as the role of punishment in the Lockean theory of punishment, (Ⅲ) the nature and ground of morality in Locke. The underlying concern of the research is with the agent that Locke had in mind both in his theory of property and of punishment. Through the research I was able to identify the advantages and disadvantages of Locke's theory of property, punishment and morality.
