Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research aimed to construct a model for evaluating contributions of Japanese language programs to university internationalization. Firstly, it found out the necessity of the program management with "evaluative thinking" - a key feature of Developmental Evaluation (DE)- to construct a sound basis for utilizing the result of the evaluation. It also exemplified how participatory DE identified and informed the nature and the implications and consequences of a Japanese language program, and helped the program's development. As a result, it indicated the significance and possibilities of DE for programs required dynamic management in a changing world.
