Outline of Final Research Achievements |
One of basic eleme'nts of the democracy in the ancient Greece was 'agon'. It meant competitive behavior in many area, not only political sphere but also gymnastic sphere and others. Therefore it is necessary for understanding the process of emergence of ancient Greek democracy to analyze classical texts like as heroic epics, images on tomb stone or gymnastic philosophy. These materials show the unique style of competitive behavior in ancient Greek society.
