Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research examined the change of Nordic countries’ security and defense policy and its influence on participation in international peace operations. After the end of the Cold War, Denmark has actively cooperated with NATO, and Finland and Sweden have placed more importance on cooperation with the EU and other Nordic countries. Although Norway is a non-EU country, it participates some EU-led crisis management operations. Nordic countries sustain efforts to establish the structure of cooperation in international peace operations. They also promote cooperation in security and defense policy.
