Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Major purpose of the research project is to estimate the effects of personnel management provided by manufacturing enterprises on the commitment of the workers, making a comparison between the first and second generations of migrant laborers. Employing a manufacturing factory employee survey of Suzhou, we have constructed theoretical framework for job-commitment mechanism, and have performed covariance structure analysis. The estimated results show that both job embeddedness and job satisfaction significantly enhance organizational commitment of employees to their workplaces. The results also demonstrate that higher organizational commitment of migrant workers significantly reduces their turnover intentions. In addition, we have testified that there is significant difference between the first and second generations of migrant laborers in terms of the structure of commitment mechanism.
