Recently,competition with not only developed companies but also developing companies such as Chinese companies has bee intensified. Faced with such situation, questions then becomes how Japanese companies will be able to sustain competitiveness. One possible direction would be placing more emphasis on component than final product such as Flat panel TV.Indeed, there exist several componnet company which has been profitable for a long time.This research has conducted in-depth case analysis of product strategy and product development process of such companies, and clarified common product strategy shared within these profitable component manufactures.
