Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Expanding business size of the co-operatives brought difficulty of the members control in recent global market. We sorted agricultural and consumers co-operatives by type, and examined the governance system by co-operative members. Associated members of agricultural co-operatives have hold more than half the members, however they could not attend an annual meeting as a representative. Consumers co-operatives have become bigger than agricultural co-ops, and their members have had smaller representatives. The old basic unit of co-operatives have become dysfunctional, though they could not made alternative basic unit.
