| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, the following four research results have been clarified. 1. The criterion for accreditation of disability pension funds is basically not employment but daily life. 2. Employment of people with a mental handicapped is classified into three categories: ① general work, ② welfare work, ③ peer support etc. 3. Receiving a disability pension will not lead to restrictions on future employment. 4. Receiving a disability pension will not result in a decline in work motivation. Rather, it can be said that it can contribute to the construction of a living facing reality.
Based on the above, this study argued that people with a mental handicapped compensate for their lack of living by obtaining disability pensions and lead to self-utility through employment. Therefore, I suggested that disability pension and employment are complementary.
