Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to examine merits and demerits of choice and competition model for school governance. Data were collected on competition for students between schools, relationships between school and parents, GCSE results and school assessments by Ofsted. Then analysis was conducted using the data done in order to examine the effects of the competition on relationships between school and parents, GCSE results and leadership and management. It is found that choice and competition model could give more power to parents and change relationships between school and parents.
