Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, transmission electron microscopy experiments were carried out in order to visualize low-dimensional or non-periodic structures consisting of light elements such as lithium. Spatial distribution of lithium atoms doped to the gaps between fullerenes inside carbon nanotubes was visualized by electron spectroscopy measurement. Pyrene dimer and monomer bound to nanotube sidewalls were also identified successfully.
