Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In Japan's aging society, working in an interprofessional team is indispensable to provide quality health care for the elderly. Accordingly, early introduction of interprofessional education to healthcare students is believed to be important. We conducted a semi-structure interview surveys to health care professionals in order to reveal their perceptions, incentives and challenges regarding interprofessional education for medical students. The outcome of the surveys offered significant findings such as prioritized teaching objectives, teaching strategies and establishing collaborations between health care workers. Given these results, a model of interprofessional education is made for medical students.
