Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We investigated the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT). MBCT has appeared to be effective for the improvement on anxiety symptoms compared to the controlled group (STAI-state mean difference: -10.1). With respect to cost effectiveness, the point estimate of incremental cost effectiveness ratio ranged between JPY 18,571,429/QALY and JPY 37,142,857/QALY. Evaluation on long-term effect is needed in future research.
