Outline of Final Research Achievements |
SESSA study was randomly recruited community dwelling men in Japan. From 2013 to 2015, 544 men aged 47 to 79 years was measured oxygen saturation level at sleep. We defined 3% ODI(Oxygen Desaturation Index) ≧ 15 as breathing-related sleep disorder. We excluded 18 men those with missing information. Thus, 526 men were included in this analysis. Among them, 133 men (25%) had breathing-related sleep disorder. These results indicated that 28.7% of Japanese middle and/or elder men (aged 50 to 79) will have breathing-related sleep disorder.
