Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Encouraging help-seeking behavior is essential for early treatment of mental illness and prevention of suicide. Decisions to seek help for mental illness may be determined by individual predispositions and sociocultural environment, but epidemiological data is scarce in Japan. This study elucidated factors affecting help-seeking intention for mental illness to explore practical ways to encourage help-seeking behavior among Japanese adults.
