Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of the present study was to measure concentrations of GABA in the brain of high-functioning autism by means of magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and to examine the association between GABA concentrations and clinical parameter. The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) module 4, Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R), and the Sensory Profile (SP) were used to evaluate current and childhood autism symptoms. We have obtained the license of the use of MEGA-PRESS spectroscopy for the detection of GABA from GE in 2015. Further evaluations with more participants will be required.
