Outline of Final Research Achievements

We assessed mechanism of radiosensitizing effect of 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) in glioma cells focusing on the delayed production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) after ionizing irradiation and mitochondria. 5-ALA induces enhancement of delayed ROS production and host antitumor response in glioma.
