Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A supportive nursing model focusing on meal preparation activities as traditional female tasks was developed. This allowed women to talk about their meal preparation activities and enabled them to view their lives objectively. Then, they adopted diabetes self-care behaviors based on their changed perceptions as women. To further spread the implementation of the model, we had it tested by certified diabetes nurses, and we created our support program based on these results for application in real nursing practice.
