Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Diabetes management is essential. It should be effective and adjustable for diabetic patients. Patients with diabetes should assess their self-care to manage their disease. From the results of our first two studies, our objectives became clear, which was to create Support Guidelines to Encourage Self-Evaluation by Self-Care Patients with Diabetes. In conclusion, to create support guidelines to encourage self-evaluation of self-care, nurses should establish good relationships with patients. Nurses should listen to and accept patients’ feelings. Nurses should give positive feedback that shows appreciation for the effort patients take. Nurses should discuss the results in an objective way with patients. Nurses should help patients do appropriate self-evaluation by providing the knowledge to improve their monitoring.
