Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Subjects comprised 120 pregnant Japanese women who completed PDPI-R during 10-23 weeks of gestation and one month postpartum. In both prenatal and postpartum of the PDPI-R Japanese versions, the score of PDPI-R was significantly higher in the postpartum depression. The factor which was strongly related to the risk of the postpartum depression was "to be unsatisfactory to marriage" in perinatal version, whereas the postpartum version were "low self-esteem", "depressed state during pregnancy" "lack of social support" "maternity blue". A cut-off value of the PDPI-R Japanese version suggested to be 7.0 in the prenatal version and 8.0 in the postpartum version.
