Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study focused on the analysis of the discussion on the problem of the baby hatch in Germany, because the German baby hatch served as a model for the hitherto only Japanese baby hatch installed in 2007 by the Catholic Jikei Hospital in Japan (Kumamoto). Further, in an attempt to contribute to the discourse in both countries, comparative research on the ethical, legal, and social aspects of the problem was conducted, and key texts of the German debate were translated into Japanese.
