Research Abstract |
Data leakage from network services has been a serious problem in our society. To overcome this problem, functional encryption schemes can be used. Functional encryption schemes realize an access control mechanism over encrypted data. However, functional encryption schemes are not yet in practical use due to the long key lengths, and their high encryption/decryption costs. In this research, we develop fundamental techniques to realize high performance functional encryption schemes using tamper-proof devices. We also give a security evaluation on cryptographic tamper-proof devices.
