Research Abstract

Thin films of amorphous Mg-I-O were prepared by vacuum evaporation technique equipped in an Ar-filled grove box. The ionic conductivity of the resultant film was 4.7 x 10-9 S cm-1 at room temperature. Cole-Cole plots of Mg/amorphous Mg-U-I/Pt cell after Mg plating to Pt showed non-blocking type spectrum, suggesting that the film is mainly Mg2+ conductive solid electrolyte.
