Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We developed a novel in situ hybridization method using ultra-small gold nano-particle-labeled oligonucleotide probe for phylogenetic identification of environmental microorganisms during nanoSIMS analysis, and proposed as Gold-ISH. Lactate-assimilating sulfate reducing bacteria in an anaerobic wastewater treatment reactor were identified by using the proposed method.
