Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We aim at developing optically-stimulable phosphors composed mainly of organic materials to achieve biological tissue-equivalent response for ionizing radiation. We have developed phosphors based on organic-inorganic hybrid materials using two methods: one is sol-gel method, and the other is the synthesis of surface-modificed nanoparticles in supercritical water followed by hybridization of the nanoparticles with polymers. For two synthesis methods, we successfully fabricated transparent organic-inorganic hybrid phosphors.
