Outline of Final Research Achievements

We evaluated the effects of a variety of natural fruit juices on inhibitory activity of cellular proliferation by reactivating RB function and anti-inflammatory ability based on the concept of “molecular-targeting cancer prevention” to prevent colon cancer.
As the results, a part of fruit juices showed growth-inhibitory activity by G1-phase arrest with reactivation of RB protein. Moreover, several juices also showed anti-inflammatory effects. However, most of juices did not show these effects. We would like to find the more ideal juices for “molecular-targeting cancer prevention”.
