Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Alternative electric power generation methods over conventional thermal power or nuclear generation are required. Recently, glucose fuels cells exploiting enzymes focusing on biological functions have been reported. However, the power density is not better than conventional methods. On the other hand, we focused on electric fish which have organs generating strong electricity to realize efficient ATP-based electric power generator incorporating power generating function onto devices. Based on this concept, we developed an electric power generator integrating electric organ using device fabrication technology.
