Outline of Final Research Achievements

We aimed at development of a wide band receiver for radio astronomy. In order to develop this receiver, we considered to use a quad ridged horn antenna for the primary horn.
In this study, we designed and produced a new 20 - 50 GHz band quad ridged horn antenna. The measurement results of this horn beam pattern indicated good performances. Furthermore, we load this horn on a radio telescope and examined it. In these results, we made a prospect of its practical use for radio telescope.
