Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A cross section measurement of 4He(12C, 16O)gamma reaction at near stellar energy was perfromed at Kyushu University Tandem Laboratory. The oxygen produced by nuclear fusion of the carbon beam and the helium target was measured by the radiation detector after passing the recoil mass separator. We developed the new instrumens for achieving high intensity beam, thick gas target, and high background separation power. The cross section at world lowest energy was successfully measured.
