Outline of Final Research Achievements

To construct solar-to-chemical energy conversion systems, development of active water oxidation catalysts has been highly demanded. In this study, we developed active oxygen evolution catalysts consisting of first-row transition metal compounds based on the control of their electrical properties. Finally, we found that the suppression of the charge disproportionation reaction is important to obtain active catalysts.
