Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, I investigated a mechanistic relationship between epigenetics and behavioral memory in C. elegans. I initially developed a multiplexed optical system to genetically analyzed C. elegans mechanosensory habituation in a high-throughput manner. Then, using this system, I identified two interneurons involved in memory formation, and an epigenetic factor important for memory formation.
