Outline of Final Research Achievements

Dd and Kd genes are equivalent as allogeneic MHC class I genes and that
C57BL/6 (DbKb) mice reject Dd-, Kd-, or DdKd-transgened skin or tumor cells in a transgene numberdependent, gene expression rate-independent manner.
Using our new MHC class I transgenic strains of mice, we could not define whether allografts are controlled by alloreactive cytotoxic macrophages via MMR1 and MMR2 receptors or by R15 and R12.
