Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Epigenetics would play an imporatant role in the etiology of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Therefore, we evaluate the function and DNA-methylation of macrophages derived from iPS cells comparing with those of intestinal macrophages. iPS cells derived from patients with IBD could be established, although the accumulation of sufficient case has been difficult. We found several candidate gene by evaluating DNA-methylation analysis between macrophage dereived from iPS cells and intestinal macrophages. At present, we are working on accumulation of further cases and functional analysis of these genes.
