Outline of Final Research Achievements

We investigated whether TLR4, TLR2, MyD88 or TRIF might be associated withonset of delayed paraplegia after spinal cord ischemia in mice. In our results, either TLR2 KO- or TRIF KO-mice could not show delayed paraplegia. In contrast, both TLR4 KO- and MyD88 KO-mice displayed delayed paraplegia after spinal cord ischemia. These results suggested that either TLR4 or MyD88 should be necessary in onset of delayed paraplegia after spinal cord ischemia.
