Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have investigated the biogeochemical conditions for the mid-Proterozoic oceanic redox chemistry by developing a new ocean biogeochemical cycle model. By conducting a series of sensitivity experiments with respect to atmospheric oxygen, terrestrial weathering rate, and pyrite burial efficiency, we have discussed the stability and dynamics of oceanic redox state during the mid-Proteroozic.
