The social exclusion is a multidimensional methods evaluating living conditions. Based on the social exclusion, the purpose of this research is to seek a way to evaluate the problems and situations the community faces on using the concept of social exclusion.
In this research, I got a cooperation from S city in Mie prefecture. Firstly I research the changes of the social structure of S city using governmental statistics for the demographic dynamics and the input-output table. And I carried both the quantitative survey and the qualitative survey based on the social exclusion. This study turns out that the aging of the population has undermined the social infrastructure which becomes the foundation of the local life, and the social capital which becomes the basis of mutual help among the residents of the area.
