Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we evaluated limbus vertebra (LV) as a risk factor for lumber disc degeneration (LDD) in Japanese collegiate gymnasts. We found that adjacent LV was associated with LDD and was a significant predictor of the development of LDD, particularly in the upper lumbar region, in Japanese collegiate gymnasts. We suggest a new risk factor of LDD in Japanese collegiate gymnasts.
