Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this project, we focus on investigating a subsidy competition between countries under labor market imperfection. This project can show that governments always provide inefficiently high subsidy rates to firms. When labor market frictions are high, subsidy competition is beneficial, although subsidies under subsidy competition are inefficiently high. Therefore, the policy reducing the unemployment rate is beneficial for Japan.
